Nintendo Steals the Spotlight at E3 2017

Home > Nintendo Steals the Spotlight at E3 2017

With all of the E3 showcases having come and gone, we have likely seen all of the games we're going to see, and to me, there is a clear winner of E3.

It's no surprise that with a new console, Nintendo has brought out the heavy hitters to overcome the failures of the Wii U. By teasing games such as Metroid Prime 4 as well as a new Pokémon, Nintendo has captured our attention. Combined with a strong 2017 Switch lineup including:

  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • ARMS
  • Splatoon  2
  • Skyrim
  • Rocket League
  • Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
  • Fire Emblem Warriors
  • Pokken Tournament DX

As well as a strong future lineup including:

  • Metroid Prime 4
  • Kirby
  • Yoshi
  • Pokémon

Nintendo clearly has more quality exclusives planned for release this year than their competitors do. I know I may sound like a Nintendo shill, but Sony and Microsoft each did well with their presentations. Microsoft has their new 4K gaming beast called the Scorpio, and Sony has a Shadow of the Colossus remake. Both are huge announcements, but they simple pale in comparison to what Nintendo has planned.
