Hyrule Warriors Legends launches today for Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS consoles. The game runs fine on the later, but has issues on the original. It features new characters, scenarios, and features amongst other things. We would recommend you picking it up if you are an owner of a New Nintendo 3DS console or can deal with poorer performance on the Nintendo 3DS. Hyrule Warriors Legends releases in a few days and we have been playing it for nearly a week already thanks to our review copy. A new trailer has recently been released by Koei Tecmo showcasing several of the characters in the game amongst some new features. It shows off some of Linkle's attacks as well as a glimpse of The Wind Waker HD content. The trailer shows off the My Fairy briefly as well. Be sure to check it out below...

Update 10/9/15: A new source has clarified that Phantom Ganon will be the version from The Wind Waker HD. He uses his large swords to deal heavy attacks. If you purchase both versions of the game - you will get Skull Kid on the Wii U version as well. Hyrule Warriors Legends is releasing on the Nintendo 3DS next year and we know several bits of information about the new content included with it. Hyrule Warriors Legends has been set to release on January 21, 2016 and in Europe and North America in early Q1 2016. This information comes from a recent showing at TGS15 and a trailer was also released. The trailer shows off parts of The Wind Waker HD campaign and footage of some new characters that the game will feature, which have been known for a while as Tetra and Toon Link. Toon Link originally appeared in The Wind Waker and became a really unique art style for our beloved Hero. Toon Link - who debuted in The Wind Waker HD - has been announced as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors Legends according to a recent Famitsu leak. He will not be featured in Legend Mode, but will be available for use in the other modes of the game. The game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show next week and we should have confirmation before that time if this leak is real or not.

We already knew that Hyrule Warriors was coming to the 3DS. The previously unannounced name for the game was Hyrule Warriors: All Stars. We now know that the game will in fact be called Hyrule Warriors Legends. It is set to launch in Q1 of 2016 and will feature all of the DLC from the Wii U version.
