Final Splatfest Announced for July 22

It has come to that time, the arrival of the final Splatfest in Splatoon. This past week, Nintendo tweeted out the theme for next Splatfest, also announcing that it will be the final one. This theme comes after the end of last Splatfest, when Marie’s team, the Night Owls, won against the Early Birds. This led to some interesting dialogue between the two sisters, stating that the next Splatfest, they would be ...

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - First Impressions

Disclaimer: The author has pledged towards the Kickstarter campaign for this game at a value of $60. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a spiritual successor to Koji Igarashi’s Castlevania titles, which initially broke the mold on the classic series and expanding the genre now dubbed “Metroidvania”. Unfortunately, due to Konami’s ever growing disdain towards the video game industry, no game ha...

Zelda: Breath of the Wild E3 2016 Impressions

I had the opportunity to play The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword at E3 in 2010. I remember being amazed with the motion controls and the new take on combat — I went back and played the demo a few times (there wasn’t a three hour line for this one). When the game came out I was ultimately disappointed. Sure, the motion controls were nifty and all, but the game was just so tiny. It didn’t feel like ...

In an interview with Game Informer, Shigeru Miyamoto said that Monolith Soft was working on Breath of the Wild. Their involvement is not surprising as they worked on Skyward Sword as well. When asked about it, Miyamoto said...

Why Link is Right Handed in Breath of the Wild, Wii U and NX Versions Same Experience

We got a host of new information regarding Breath of the Wild recently. We know you can beat the game without finishing the story. That is interesting in it's own right; however, we also know why Link is right handed. Coming from a recent interview, Eiji Aonuma mentions that Link is right handed because that is the side of the Wii U GamePad that players will use to control the sword. In terms of right-handedness...

Players Able to Beat Breath of the Wild Without Finishing the Story

Breath of the Wild was shown off at E3 2016. We got lots of information about the game alongside the new trailer that was shown. Nintendo said the game would break the boundaries for the franchise and games as a whole. In an interview with Polygon, Eiji Aonuma even said we would be able to complete the game without ever finishing the story. Users may not actually get the full story depending on how they play this gam...

Zelda: Breath of the Wild to Feature Over 100 Shrines of Trials, Runes, and More

Nintendo has recapped some of the announcements they made today in a recent press release. Breath of the Wild will feature 100 or more Shrines of Trials, different Runes, different types of climate that has a lasting effect on Link, ability to craft food, and more. The game looks excellent from our experience with the E3 2016 demos. Our full impressions will be posted at a later time, but be sure to check out the press ...

Nintendo Details the Open World of Breath of the Wild

Nintendo recently gave Zelda Wii U a new name. That name is Breath of the Wild and, in my opinion, reflects on the atmosphere of the game. They said it will break the "boundaries for the franchise and for games as whole." The game is set to launch in 2017 and we will be bringing you coverage of the game until launch and beyond. Be sure to check out the recent press release below...
