GenGAME has recently released information that previous sales figures do not influence Eiji Aonuma's direction when creating new Zelda games. Eiji Aonuma has talked about changing the conventions of Zelda for a while now. When asked recently by Kotaku about the types of puzzles in Zelda Wii U - he said, "I think people come to just assume that puzzle-solving will exist in a Zelda game, and I kinda wanna change that." Contrary to popular belief that Link was not in the Zelda Wii U reveal - Eiji Aonuma has come out saying it "was Link." Aonuma goes on to say: "Actually that comment I made jokingly," he said. Eiji Aonuma went to Miiverse to post about both Hyrule Warriors and Zelda Wii U. The biggest revelation is that the Zelda Wii U reveal trailer was "actual gameplay on Wii U." Who is in the screenshot above? Many will say it is Link but Aonuma recently stated: No one explicitly said that that was Link. So if it isn't Link then who can it be? Only time will tell - in other news, check out some new screenshots of Zelda Wii U and some screenshots of Hyrule Warriors as well.

Nintendo just showed a first glimpse of Zelda for Wii U. It will feature a large overworld map that is very vast. Mashable recently asked Eiji Aonuma for information regarding Zelda Wii U and was given a generic answer, "I'll say more at E3 2014." So this likely confirms that the new Zelda for Wii U will be shown off at E3 2014; however, we have no details regarding any hands-on demos that may be available since the event is far off. Kotaku recently spoke with Eiji Aonuma after his New York Comic Con panel about changes to the Zelda series. Aonuma mentioned that he is "hoping to change a lot of things and show a lot of new ideas is in this next console Zelda," which is Zelda Wii U. You can read his full quotes after the break.
