For many years fans of Super Mario RPG have been asking for a sequel or remake. It seemed unlikely with Square Enix as the primary developer of the original game. But the time has finally come and Nintendo announced during the recent Nintendo Direct that Super Mario RPG (same title) will be getting a Switch release. This is a proper remake of the original SNES title, with brand new graphics that match the unique dime...

As we expected, we got a new cinematic trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom during today's Nintendo Direct presentation. While there was no deep dive into any new game mechanics, story, or gameplay, we did see glimpses of what's in store. The floating island in the sky theme seems to be very prevelant, with Link traversing this new state of Hyrule with various colored paragliders as well as other ancien...

One of the announcements that excited me the most from the most recent Nintendo Direct was a remake of the 2004 Gamecube game Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Nearly 20 years later, you'll be able to play it as Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on the Switch. It has an expected release date of Summer 2023. A Wonderful Life is my personal favorite entry in the series, and features several unique gameplay elements. The...

Shigeru Miyamoto has been claiming that Pikmin 4 is in development since as early as 2014. He continued to mention it periodically through 2017. This coincided with the release of Hey! Pikmin on 3DS, so it's unclear if this was the "Pikmin 4" he was referring to. Regardless, five years after the last mention, we got our first official teaser of the game in the lastest Nintendo Direct. The new trailer shows off very lit...
