During a recent Spike interview with Eiji Aonuma - it was mentioned if the idea of bringing A Link Between Worlds to the Wii U. Eiji Aonuma state that "it definitely started out with being able to include the 3D effects as being really key to our whole idea of the game" so that would have ruled out the Wii U from the start. The Zelda Wii U has received a steep discount in the UK from online retailer Play when you order from them and live in the UK. The system is now on sale for £199.99 and includes free delivery. This price is only available for those living in the UK.

Mashable recently asked Eiji Aonuma for information regarding Zelda Wii U and was given a generic answer, "I'll say more at E3 2014." So this likely confirms that the new Zelda for Wii U will be shown off at E3 2014; however, we have no details regarding any hands-on demos that may be available since the event is far off. Kotaku recently spoke with Eiji Aonuma after his New York Comic Con panel about changes to the Zelda series. Aonuma mentioned that he is "hoping to change a lot of things and show a lot of new ideas is in this next console Zelda," which is Zelda Wii U. You can read his full quotes after the break.

In the latest Nintendo Minute - embedded above - they unbox the Zelda Wii U that launched in America on Sept 20 for $299.99. This bundle is not selling out as fast as the Wind Waker Limited Edition did likely due to several retailers limiting customers to only purchasing one. So do you plan on or have you purchased the Zelda Wii U?

According to various sources such as GoNintendo - the Limited Edition Zelda Wii U Bundle has seen release earlier then the street date of September 20 at several retailers across America. Upon hearing the news I went down to my local Wal-Mart but no luck was to be had as they did not break the street date. Are retailers near you releasing the bundle early?

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link launches today on the Wii U Virtual Console for the price of $4.99. The game is available on the eShop today - September 12 - for all of those who want to go ahead and download it and play through an outlier in the Zelda series. The game features many traditional RPG elements such as a leveling system and mini-quests.
